Chloe Cheung isn’t your average 20 year old. She’s the youngest of 19 activists accused of violating a sweeping national security law imposed by Beijing following massive pro-democracy protests in the former British colony five years ago.
In this powerful event, Chloe will share her personal story of exile, her role in the movement for a free Hong Kong, and what it means to be branded an enemy of the Chinese state. From underground organising to international diplomacy, this is a rare opportunity to hear directly from a young voice Beijing wants silenced.

Chloe Cheung is part of the organisation: the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong (CFHK) Foundation. Founded in 2022, it aims to free all of Hong Kong political prisoners. From offices in Washington D.C. and London, the Foundation campaigns to ensure there are profound international consequences for the People’s Republic of China’s broken promise to uphold the Basic Law and the Sino-British Joint Declaration in Hong Kong. Through innovative research, media engagement, and government relations initiatives, the Foundation leads global advocacy in support of Hong Kong’s core values: rule of law, press freedom, and freedom of expression.
