Museum Tour: Radical Women!

£10.00

11:00am, Saturday 17th of May, People's History Museum

People’s History Museum is the national museum of democracy, telling the story of its development in Britain: past, present, and future.

Trouble members will be treated to a private, guided tour highlighting the truly troublesome and truly radical women of Manchester’s past.

From Mary Fildes, President of the Manchester Female Reform Society who was on the platform at Peterloo, to the match girls who fought to improve their working conditions in 1888, through to the suffragettes Emmeline Pankhurst and Hannah Mitchell, and Jayaben Desai, leader of the 1976 Grunwick strike.
